From Aamir to Kareena with Love

Kareena Kapoor had always expressed her desire to work with Aamir Khan and when it finally happened with Rajkumar Hirani's 3 Idiots, her delight knew no bounds. But probably she had never bargained that she would have to forgo her birthday celebrations not once but twice.

Last year, during Kareena's birthday, the unit of 3 Idiots was shooting in Ladakh and Kareena was very much part of that schedule. Come this year, same time, and the final schedule of 3 Idiots was set to begin on her birthday. However, being a true professional, not once did Kareena make a hue and cry of it. In fact, all the hue and cry was made by the media. This time, however, Aamir stepped in and gave Kareena a lovely birthday present. The actor is believed to have requested Hirani to postpone the final schedule by a few days so that Bebo can ring in her birthday with her loved ones. The shooting for the final leg of the film will now begin on September 25 and not today as it was meant to. The film is more or less complete, according to sources. There is just one final romantic song which remains to be picturised on Aamir and Kareena, with the other members of the cast like Boman Irani, R Madhavana and Sharman Joshi set to make brief appearances in the number. The schedule is expected to last till October 2, after which the film will go into post production. It is being readied for a December 25 release and Aamir was reportedly very keen to wrap up the shooting as soon as possible so that there was ample time to prepare for its release. An earlier schedule of the film had also been postponed as Aamir took a break with his wife Kiran, after her miscarriage. But now he is back in town and keen to get back to work as soon as possible. As for Kareena, she couldn't have probably got a better gift than the one Aamir and Hirani have given her this year.
